[Photoshop] Play with Smudge Tool

Intro

Here is my tutorial to play with Smudge to make picture look like Oil painting. This is one of my favorite tool of Photoshop, Ok here we go!!

Original picture

1. Use smudge tool by setting Strengt 50% and Select Sample all Layers. Then create new layer (Layer2)

2. Analyze the trend of structure such example below to drag smudge tool along the way of face.

3. Zoom eye and set Smudge tool smallest and analyze the direction of smudge tool as example below.

4. Use white color add on the nose and lip to make the reflex of light.

Final well done!

Enjoy the simple my tutorial. Next time I will use Smudge tool to combination with other tools which make the picture much more realistic plus painting. See you later!

This turtorial I will show you simply command which use to be useful for writing in my blog. I won't talk about what's HTML or CSS meaning. You can find those ton of explanations in the internet. Well, here we go!

The basics thing that you shound to know about HTML is

1. <open tag>.........Your information....... </close tag> Tag is the command in HTML which the lists in the table below. Some Tag you don't need "close tag" such as <br> or <hr>., and one more thing important is the close tag must have "/" . If you forgot , webpage might not display properly.

You will see "Font-tag",<font>...........</font>, is covering "B-tag",<b>.......</b>, and "I-tag" ,<i> .......</i>.

Text No1. is covered by B-tag and inside Font-tag -- that mean this text have got inherit Bold from B-tag and Red color from Font-tag.

Text No2. is covered by I-tag and inside Font-tag -- that mean this text have got inherit Italic from B-tag and Red color from Font-tag.

Text No3. is covered by I-tag which inside B tag and again inside Font-tag -- that mean this text have got inherit Italic from I-tag and Bold from B-tag and Red color from Font-tag.

Note: <font><b><i> ......your text ....</i></b></font> becareful the order of open tag and close tag. If you write </b></i></font> you might got some problems when display^^!

Adobe Photoshop CS3 beta

For the first time ever, Adobe is delivering a widely available Photoshop CS3 beta to enable customers to more easily transition to the latest hardware platforms, particularly Apple's new Intel based systems. The beta is available as a Universal Binary for the Macintosh platform as well for Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista computers, with the final shipping release of Adobe Photoshop CS3 planned for spring 2007.

New Features

# Non-destructive Smart Filters
Smart Filters are Photoshop filters that are applied non-destructively, and that remain live and re-editable. To apply a Smart Filter, select one or more layers and choose Filter->Convert for Smart Filters. The selected layer(s) will be converted to a Smart Object, to which you can apply filters non-destructively. Smart Filters appear as parameters under the layer to which they have been applied. Edit the Smart Filter mask to adjust the filter’s effects on different areas of the image. Note that any filter is treated as a Smart Filter when you apply it to a Smart Object.


# Quick Selection Tool
The new Quick Selection Tool creates selections by painting the general area of interest. Photoshop CS3 analyzes the image to complete the selection automatically. To remove pixels from a selection, hold the Opt (Mac)/Alt (Win) key and paint. You'll find the Quick Selection tool in the same slot as the Magic Wand tool in the Tools palette.

# Refine Edge
The new Refine Edge feature offers a simple, flexible way to modify the edge of any selection. Available via the Options bar or via the Select menu, the Refine Edge dialog lets you smooth, feather, contract or expand the current selection by using simple slider controls. Experiment with the Radius slider to select irregular or fuzzy edges

# Vanishing Point with multiple, adjustable angle perspective planes

One of the most powerful new features of Photoshop CS2 is now even more flexible. Vanishing Point adjusts brush strokes, healing and cloning as you paint over its perspective planes. In Photoshop CS3, you are no longer restricted to adding planes at 90-degree angles. You can now quickly and easily create multiple planes in any image, connected at any angle. In addition, artwork (for example, a product label pasted from the clipboard) can be wrapped around multiple planes simultaneously. To adjust angles of planes, use the Alt/Option key when dragging on a side point of a plane, or enter a specific angle in the Angle field in the dialog.

yes, pritty much have got the cool new features espectially Vanishing very very powerfull to control scale and dimention of retouching ... I can not waitting to use the new features hehe :)

1 Litre of Tears OST

This dorama is about a girl who was diagnosed with a disease called Spinocerebellar Degeneration when she was 15 years old, and was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25 years old.

The plot is based on the true story of a Japanese girl named Kito Aya, who had the same disease. She kept writing in her diary to remember her experiences until she could no longer hold a pen. Aya simply wished to live until the end of her life, and the purpose of writing in the diary was to remind herself to not give up. She shed tears many times, at the same time encompassed by the rich love and support from her family, friends, and boyfriend. Her diary “1 Litre of Tears” was published after her death, because of its inspiring and courageous message of, “Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing.” So far, over 18,000,000 copies of her diary have been sold.

Well, last week I was looking the presents for this chirstmas. It's really really rare to find something which is valuable for reciever.

Here is the MV from youtube.com from drama called "One litre of Tears" As I can say that this is the nice one which I have ever seen :) In this OST, first time when I heard in drama and leading actress played at the climax scene. I can toch that feeling plus this music.

Who am I ?

Hello everyone from EFI class,

My name is Traimate and my nickname is Tai which mean "Southern" in Thai meaning. Yes, I am from Thailand and I can speak only Thai and English. In my free time, I like playing basketball, drawing&painting, listening to pop&rock musics, and the various kind of movie. It depends who play in the film or drama.

I have studied english for about 8 years in the primary school until university. Unfortunatly, I do not have any chance to practice speaking and listening anymore. When I have to talk something with foriegner, I feel like my mouth sink into the water. I could not pronounce any more. Actually, Thai and English are not different in the grammartical. There is some thing unlike; such as, in english say "a red ball" but in Thai we say "ball red" .

I found EFI's website on May this year which I searched from google about learn english online. Finally I met this home, I am not remember what did I write to Vanessa, but I felt so happy when she replied me. Thank you :)

Anyway, I would like to know how far I can improve english, so I keep going to learn more and more becaues "Learing never Ending" :P
